Honor Choir is an event happening once a year for 24 chosen Choir students from each Montana middle school, grades four through eight. The sixth grade students included: Autumn Burland, Aubree Rob-erts, Ashlee Harp, Paige Mergenthaler, Elijah Taylor, Sarah Kinzel, Kyra Spen-cer, Justice Moore, and Weston Sansone. The seventh/eighth grade students were Aaron Hanson, Doran Roullier, Tyson Walbeck, Ellie Ayers, Denika Edmo, Amanda Farley, Kim Frisk, Victoria Hampton, Adriana Johnson, Shea McGuinness, Alex Pierre, Gwen Reese, Gwen Sansone, Gwen Seeley, Molly Sit-ter, and Bentley Stinger. There were 370 students who participated in all! Students had to audition by singing America the Beautiful and sang two scales. Honor Choir participants rode an hour long bus ride to Frenchtown High School, where they then practiced all day for their con-cert. Fourth through sixth grade sang How Can I Keep From Singing, Gypsy Rover, Sing a Mighty Song, When I Close My Eyes, and Alshlosha D’Varim. Sev-enth and eighth graders sang Windy Nights, Exultate, Sunrise, America Ameri-ca, And Make It So, and Dancin’ On The Rock. Sixth grade Honor Choir student Weston Sansone said, “Practicing all day was tiring. My favorite part was getting off the bus at the end. The concert was fun.”
