Love running, jumping, or throwing Frisbees, then try track. There are many track events according to Mr. Davey, a middle school track coach, including running events such as 100 hurdles, 100M, 200 M hurdles, 200M, 400M, 400M Relay, 800M, 1600M, and 1600M Relay. Field events are long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, and discus. Mr. Davey says “he likes coaching be-cause track has a way of revealing true talent in those who participate to their fullest ability.” Other coaches are PE teacher Mrs. Ives who leads the sprints and hurdles, sixth grade teacher Mr. Fisher who coaches the high jump, PE teacher Mr. Kelly who leads long jump and triple jump, and Linderman counselor Mr. McElwee who coaches long distance.

Mr. Davey has been coaching for 20 years and coaches’ shot put and discus. Also, he was in track when he was in high school. Mr. Davey was a long distance runner and tried the long and triple jump. Track starts April 7, 2015 and goes through the middle of May. So this year try track, you might like it!
