Polson Middle School had a band concert March 8, 2016. The concert consisted of all of the bands including: 6th grade band, Percussion, Symphonic, Jazz, and Concert Band. The sixth grade band played The Sound and the Furry, Armed Forces March, and Wind Beneath My Wings. Symphonic band played Fanfare for the Third Planet, Salvation is Created, The Wild Westerns, Finale from The Firebird, Brown Eyed Girl, and National Emblem. The Jazz band played the Mission Impossible Theme, James Bond Theme, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, Livin’ on a Prayer, and What’d I Say. Concert band played Pirates of the Caribbean, Shenandoah, Scooby-Doo Where are You, and White River Canyon. Percussion played most of the songs that the Jazz, Symphonic, and Concert band played.


Polson Middle School band director, Mr. Ross said, “The progress of all of the groups made during the preparation for the concerts in order to be able to play such difficult music, was great.” The concert lasted an hour and a half and took place in the Polson High school auditorium. The next band concert is going to take place outside in front of Polson Middle School May 26. The choir and band will be performing a combined concert.
